Joe Root and Jos Buttler have signed up for Sydney Thunder for the 2018-19 Big Bash League.

Root will be looking to reinvent himself as a T20 batsman, especially after he was dropped from the England side in the T20I against India. He was overlooked in the IPL auction earlier this year.

Some Talks Down Under.

Shane Bond Says:
"It's brilliant for the club to get two players of their quality to join us. Everybody knows Jos is one of the best T20 players in the world. I know him very well from our time together at the Mumbai Indians,"

"There's a lot of young guys but some experience in there as well, including Shane Watson who I really got to enjoy getting to know and playing under his captaincy.
"I've had some really good experiences with Shane Bond in the past when I've worked with him and I'm really looking forward to doing that again."
"It's a great part of the world and a really fun dressing room. I'm delighted to be back with the Thunder Nation.
"Buttler has already featured for the Thunder and played six games last year. "I loved my time there, there's a great atmosphere in the group,"
